Short Description
Nikos Vakondios was born in Athens. He maintains a private psychologist"s office since 2004. He is a research associate at Doctors Hospital Clinic. He studied psychology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he took the qualifying entrance exams for the corresponding department of Psychology.
His articles for a year in a Sunday newspaper, as well as in scientific or monthly magazines, radio and television interviews, cover a wide range from neuropsychology to psychological stories.
He has been a technical consultant-expert as a psychologist in court cases. During his term in the Navy, he served as a psychologist in his university internship at the Salamis Naval Hospital and the Office of Mental Health Prevention where he gained experience in a wide range of mental health.
He has worked successfully for three years in the field of eating disorders, psychotic bulimia/ anorexia and more generally on the subject of body weight fluctuation and emotional state of the everyday person, with individual sessions, lectures, seminars.
Trained by a psychiatrist-neurologist psychotherapist with a central focus on cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and psychodynamic approach and often working with neurologists, he works in a unifying framework integrating a variety of integrative therapeutic systems.
Today he is professionally engaged in the full range of psychology related to everyday life, stress, sadness, emotional mood, psychosomatic symptoms, psychosocial disorders, human relationships, group sessions, lectures and seminars.
