Konstantinos Tsamakis is a Psychiatrist-Psychotherapist. He was born and raised in the Agrinio-Megali Chora. He received a scholarship from the Medical School of the University of Athens where, after completing his studies, he completed his Doctoral Thesis in Medical Education. He continued his studies in the United Kingdom on the MSc in Executive Health Management at City University of London.

In London he specializes in Adult Psychiatry at the famed Maudsley Hospital of South London and Maudsley (SLaM) NHS Trust and then West London NHS Trust. He completed his specialty at the East London NHS Foundation Trust, where as Specialist Registrar he actively participated in the training of medical students and specialist psychiatrists.

At the same time, he completed his education in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and he also participated in the annual Psychoanalysis Therapy Program of the Institute of Psychoanalysis, London.

He further specialized in Substance Misuse Psychiatry and worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Mile End Hospital in London. In 2017 he went to Ghana, and worked as a volunteer at the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital in Akkra, where he taught and trained psychiatrists and nursing staff at the clinic.

He contributed decisively to the design and operation of James" Place, a support center for young men in a suicide crisis, being a close associate of the founding Marquis of Milford-Haven, inaugurated in June 2018 in Liverpool by Prince William.

At the end of 2018 he returned to his beloved Greece.

Today he works as a private Psychiatrist-Psychotherapist and as an external partner of the 2nd University Psychiatric Clinic of "Attikon" Hospital of Athens.

He holds speeches at Greek and international conferences and participates in research publications. He places special emphasis on the effort to revitalize the health services received by mentally ill patients in our country through more comprehensive public awareness of mental illness and the ongoing struggle to reduce stigma.
