Panagis A. Kaliakoudas was born in Evanston, Illinois, USA and graduated from Athens College. He studied psychology at Boston University and Masters Counseling Psychology at Boston College, Boston, USA.
He is a certified addiction counselor from IC&RC, and trained in EMDR trauma therapy. Since completing his studies in 2000, he has worked in various hospital structures in Boston and later in Athens.
As a Crisis Counselor, Tri-City Mental Health and Retardation Center, Boston, USA he provided immediate counseling, diagnosis and emergency management in hospitals, schools, police stations, and homes in the greater Boston area.
As an Addiction Counselor, Cambridge Health Alliance, Somerville Hospital Residential Addictions Program, Boston, USA he treated patients who needed recovery and treatment of substance abuse that included: Introducing patients to the theory of the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, Forming an Explanatory Plan, Assisting in Forming a Support Network, Designing and Executing Behavioral Behaviors in the use of substances and treatment groups.
As a Mental Health Consultant, Hostel Manager, Eikos Community Health Services Inc., Boston, USA. he provided counseling to tenants and participated in treatment groups, morning meetings and all-member groups of the Eikos psychiatric community.
He has served his term in the Navy at the Psychiatric Clinic of the Naval Hospital of Salamis (NNS) and at the Office of Preventive Mental Health (GPPSY).
From 2009 until today he works as a psychologist at the Psychiatric Clinic ‘The Asclepieion" in Chalandri, Since 2011 he has been treating private incidents and since 2014 he is also a psychologist at the Standard Adult Care Unit“ To Thalpos ”in Chalandri.
He is certified Psychologist (1496 / 25-02-2011) and is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society.
