Short Description
Marina Sarli is a psychology graduate from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a professional license. She pursued her postgraduate studies in Clinical Psychology at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Her studies have mainly focused on Cognitive - Behavioral Therapy. However, in her work she draws elements from various approaches (systemic, relational, interpersonal), adapting the techniques to the specific needs and background of each client. She mainly focuses on anxiety disorders, depression, motivational issues, boundary and relationship issues, loneliness, grief and issues of sexuality and gender identity. Through her studies and volunteer work, she has worked with minority groups, people from the lgbtqi+ community and different cultures. She has interned at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy of Athens (ICPA), attending sessions and participating in group psychotherapy. She also interns as a clinical psychologist at "BABEL" Day Center, providing mental health services to refugees and immigrants and doing psychosocial interventions in the community. Lately she has been providing mental health services online and continuing her training.
