Alexandros Astrinakis graduated in medicine in Bologna, Italy. He has a specialty in psychiatry, social medicine and a degree in hygiene. He has worked as a Chief Physician at the World Health Organization and as a Public Health Physician (Grade A "), at the Directorate of Public Health, Ministry of Health and Welfare where he has been involved in the training of national and Community health advocates, as experts and as an expert. of the European Union.
He participated in the establishment of interstate health agreements. Professor at TEI Athens for twenty years in the following subjects: hygiene, social medicine, nutrition.
In the field of psychiatry, he has been trained at the NNA (Dafni) and at the Aeginiteio Hospital. He has been running a private practice in Nea Makri since 2000 and is a psychotherapist and specially trained couple and family therapist. He has participated in Greek and international scientific and psychoanalytic meetings.
He has given a series of lectures on "The Psychology of the Economic Crisis", "Oedipus the Tyrant and the Oedipus Complex", "The Psychology of the Car Driver", "Mental Trauma as an Inevitable Consequence of the Physical" and others. In 2010 he published his first novel "The Gorge" by "Odysseus".
