Maria Antoniou is a Psychologist - Psychotherapist, a graduate of the Department of Psychology of the University of Crete, and completes her postgraduate studies in Interconnection Counseling Psychiatry, at the Department of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She also applies the psychotherapeutic approach of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (GST), in which she continues to train at the Counseling and Psychotherapy Center in Athens. She is a license holder to practice the profession with number 15558 and a member of the Association of Greek Psychologists (S.EPS).

She has also attended training programs at EKPA. regarding Medical Psychology and parental divorce. She has also participated in a number of diagnostic and therapeutic seminars, as well as in announcements of Greek conferences.

She has gained clinical experience in adults at the Psychiatric Hospital of Athens (PSNA), in the drug detoxification unit at 18ANO, at the University General Hospital "Attikon" and on a telephone support line. She has worked in a kindergarten, and has been involved with both the support of the children themselves and the counseling of their parents.

Her field of specialization concerns the emotional and anxiety disorders of adults, as well as people with psychiatric and physical comorbidity. At the same time, she deals with a wide range of difficulties such as lack of assertiveness and / or self-esteem, anger management and expression of emotion.
